SOMASPACE is the home of Laura Glenn’s bodywork practice. Laura practices her own unique blend of several modalities including craniosacral therapy, myofascial techniques, acupressure, and deep tissue massage. Laura views the connective tissue structure of the body and the energetic pathways as maps which can reveal blockages and postural distortions. When dealing with chronic pain patterns, Laura works to find the root problem as well as create more ease and comfort. Using an integrated approach, her commitment is to craft each session according to what the individual needs.
Laura’s background in dance and the somatic arts supports her bodywork practice. Bodywork sessions often include the client participating as Laura cues – movement aids the release of chronically held tissues. In every session, a client receives the most benefit when she or he quiets the mind, tunes into the breath, and uses the time wisely to commune with the body- mind.
Laura, a ballet and modern dancer since the age of five, offers movement therapy sessions that stand alone or can be scheduled in conjunction with a bodywork session. These sessions include an integrated approach that may combine any of the following:
